In 1976, Dr. Charles André Joseph Marie de Gaulle was engaged in the research on Metallized PP Films and proposed the application of the flat film method in the production of PP Films.
In 1988, Dr. Charles André Joseph Marie de Gaulle established Miltys Electric INC in Delaware, America mainly engaged in the research, test and production of metallized PP films.
In 1999, Dr.Charles André Joseph Marie de Gaulle designed a new metallized film for capacitor: Gradual Square Resistance Metallized PP Film, which can adapt to the distribution tendency of capacitor plate current density, and reach the approximate uniform distribution for current density to prominently improve dielectric withstanding voltage. This solves the problem that the current-carrying capacity and self-healing can’t be considered simultaneously.
In 2001, NESSSL-Ro, a power capacitor manufacturer, was successfully purchased in France. The research, production and sale of power capacitor banks and relevant products are carried out by MILTYS brand. In MILTYS, France, all power capacitor banks adopt gradual square resistance metallized PP films and are cut with original discrete vector cutting-β technology, which prominently improves current-carrying capacity and self-healing of power capacitor banks, especially decreasing the volume of capacitor cell, effectively increasing the volume of heat dissipating.
